Professional Hunter, Peter Thormählen began his hunting career in 1996. In 2002, Charlie Cochran, a client, approached Peter with a partnership that became Thormählen & Cochran Safaris. T&C’s mission is to serve and provide our international clients a unique Classic African Safari. Thormählen & Cochran’s South African Operations are headquartered in the city of Nelspruit, Mpumalanga Province, and the Namibian Operations in the capital city of Windhoek.
T&C strives to employ only the best and most professional staff members, as well as to acquire exclusive hunting rights on excellent hunting concessions.
SOUTH AFRICA– Our Mpumalanga concessions consist of free range Government Parks where a variety of outstanding trophies can be hunted. We also hunt in other provinces like KwaZulu Natal, North West (Kalahari), Northern Cape, Free State, and Limpopo concessions for trophies that do not occur in Mpumalanga.
NAMIBIA– Our 3 Free Range Namibian Concessions give every hunter a chance to hunt trophies in their original, natural environment. Every conservancy has its distinctive environment, own tribal community and quota list of trophies to be hunted. Every concession has a authentic tented camp with en-suite bathroom. The Caprivi (Kavango) concessions are known for its excellent buffalo, hippo and crocodile. The Bushmanland concessions are famous for its trophy elephant and leopard hunting.

Peter, an avid and enthusiastic hunter himself, is in charge of the operation. His flexible approach towards client’s needs, combined with a passion for Ultimate Perfection, makes us a winning team.
Apart from guiding in South Africa and Namibia, Peter also accompanies clients to other African Countries in their quest to collect a wide variety of species.
Anso Thormählen
Director/Finance & Administration
Anso was born in South Africa. After completing her Education, she met Peter at University while studying for a degree in Accounting. They have been married for 30 years and have three Children.
Her portfolio includes all of the administration, finances, communications, marketing and inquiries of clients and prospective clients of T&C
Hermann Thormählen
Share Holder/Professional Hunter
Hermann hunted with Peter since he could hold a Rifle. After school, he qualified in business management and completed his honours in Business and Marketing. Hermann is a Qualified professional hunter in South Africa and Director of T&C in Namibia.
Carel Alberts
Big Game Professional Hunter
Carel was born in the Western Cape Province of South Africa and relocated with his parents to Namibia. His love and interest in nature, and hunting, was fostered by his dad, a nature conservationist. Carel is the senior professional hunter in Namibia. Carel specialises in Elephant, Black Rhino and Buffalo hunting.
Christo Combrink
Professional Hunter
Christo was born in Gauteng, and brought up in Pretoria, the capital city of South Africa. He started his hunting career in 2014 as professional hunter, mostly in the Limpopo Province where he was employed as game ranch manager and professional hunter. Christo joined us in 2022 and we are looking forward working with a passionate Professional hunter in South Africa.
Abiliu Huhuilepo
Big Game Professional Hunter
Abiliu, a Namibian and the father of Ambrosius, has extensive big game hunting experience in Namibia. He is families with hunting in the free ranged concession of Namibia. Abiliu’s ability to remain calm and achieving every goal, mahi him a big asset to our team.
Ambrosius Huhuilepo
Professional Hunter
Ambrosius is a Namibian citizen and joined our team end of 2009. He is a qualified hunter with extensive knowledge of his country. It’s people and hunting. Apart from being a professional hunter, Ambrosius also assists getting the the trophies to the Taxidermists and guiding clients on tours.
Abby Katjimune
Operations Manageress
Abby is responsible for the operational management of our tented camps in Namibia. Logistics in Namibia necessitate detailed planning of menus, buying of supplies, training and liaison with staff members of every camp.
She is also responsible for the application of hunting permits, and the airport shuttle.
